    Intresting Thought.

I had a thought, Using a ISO image of the hdd, would it be possible to boot from the ISO from hdd, Like using alchol 120% is there are to boot from an ISO???

Its a thought that I had a few days ago, and then forgot...

Is is possible in the slightest, as Im not ready to install knoppix yet as I am getting a new pc, then it will be on there but for the time being I am just booting from the cd. I boot from the CD ALOT and was wondering if I could do it from a dos command, taking the cd out of the equation.

    Just a thought!

    Cheers.

[EDIT] You would have to make a partition I supose, so it thinks its booting from a root dir.

Yup, I think you can use the cheat code

    knoppix bootfrom /dev/hda1/knoppix.iso

or whatever filename you have for an iso. Also, this assumes you've downloaded the iso to /dev/hda1 and you're now booting from a livecd to use the cheat code.
