When battery level is low, machine will sleep and the "Moon" indicator light is on.CMOS battery needs replacement.If CMOS info lost, default display will be CRT so at this time LCD screen is black, don't be panic. Try disconnecting power or pressing power switch or removing battery or other means. If you buy such old laptops, I believe you know more than me to fix the problem.DVD drive automatically ejects by itself and sometimes reconnects by itself. I don't know why. Tested that DVD drive reads my CD-R.
