For sale is a Diamond Monster 3D II PCI card, revision A, which implements the 3dfx Voodoo2 chipset. This card has 12MB of RAM, and there is a cooler affixed to the chips. The card has been tested with some games in Windows 95, and it is working.The fan receives power through a standard Molex connection. In my experience, I've found that the fan will often make a noticeable "grinding" noise which can be grating, so I generally used this card without the fan plugged in. It may need some cleaning or lubrication.This card is in cosmetically decent condition; all I see on it is some dust, as well as some writing on the metal bracket.Keep in mind that this is not a complete video card, and you must connect your video card to the male VGA port of the Voodoo2 using a passthrough cable - in essence, a VGA cable with a male connector on one end and a female connector on another. A length of 12" is recommended for a passthrough cable to preserve signal quality. If you do not have such a cable, you can alternatively plug in two monitors, one for your video card and another for the Voodoo2. The monitor connected to the Voodoo2 should activate once you load a game which can use the accelerator.Another tip: if some colors look off in your games, it's most likely a gamma-related issue which you can fix in software. Assuming you'll use the regular Windows 9x driver, you can adjust the gamma to use for your games within the 3dfx tab in the display control panel.This card will be packed with plenty of bubble wrap in a Priority Mail envelope to ensure it remains intact during shipping.
