This is a Commodore 64 home computer in its original box. It comes with a 5 foot 5-pin DIN audio/video cable and Commodore power supply. The power supply is not the kind where the components are entombed in epoxy; it has ventilation holes that allow for cooling and is therefore ostensibly and anecdotally more reliable (for being 40+ years old). The computer has been cleaned, has had all electrolytic capacitors replaced (except in the RF modulator box), and has passed a 168-hour diagnostic test. Motherboard assembly is326298.
*** Note that the VIC-II chip is the earlier 6567R56A, known for internal clock noise that manifests as vertical "ghost lines", the width of one character, on the display. How noticeable the lines are depends on the display. I have included two photos showing this effect on two different displays. I cannot predict how it will look on your display.The box is in pretty good condition with some fading and wear around the edges. Monitor is not included.
