Knoppix 3.8 hängt beim Einrichten von eth0

Ich habe Knoppix seit Version 3.6 in Benutzung, zuletzt auch Version 3.7, imer auf derselben Standard-Hardware. Beim Booten von CD bleibt Knoppix 3.8 bei der Erkennung der Netzwerkkarte bzw. beim Warten auf den DHCP-Server hängen und rührt sich nicht weiter.
DHCP-Server ist ein ein DSL-Router. Wie gesagt, bei Knoppix 3.7 und vorher nie ein Problem!

Der Parameter "nodhcp" hilft zwar beim Booten, aber danach kann ich die Netzwerkkarte von Hand auch nicht einrichten: das System friert dabei vollständig ein

Hat einer einen Tipp?

Welche Art der Karte?

Sehen Sie dieses Gewinde für Info (auf englisch)

Wenn dieses unterschiedliche Arten der Karten ist, kann es herausgibt als vorher bekannt ein größeres sein.

Das passiert bei bestimmten DEC-Netzwerkkarten seit standardmäßig der Kernel 2.6 gebootet wird.
Ich habe eine andere Netzwerkkarte (Realtek) eingebaut und es gibt kein Problem mehr.

Es ist moeglich dass "acpi=off" kann hilfen. Meine Karte arbeitet mit ein kernel und nicht mit anderen ohne "acpi=off".
