Possibly the answer may be that cutting and pasting to 'Quick reply' saves whitespace, and that 'Go advanced' does not.
How does one preserve whitespace created in off-line material from being eaten by this posting system?

So much for that theory. That was originally three lines in Leafpad. This was originally three lines in 'Reply to thread'.
Possibly the answer may be that cutting and pasting to 'Quick reply' saves whitespace, and that 'Go advanced' does not. Four lines saved under 'white.space'.
I've just referred back to earlier clipboard-daemon posts. That might solve my problem, but why is this such an inconsistent phenomenon? The daemon is not in stable or testing repos. Composed in four lines.

That wasn't cut and paste. Reply to thread is not WYSIWYG. WYS is all run together in a horrible way. Three lines originally.
Here's another experiment.
Whitelisting http://knoppix.net on NoScript.
Maybe there's some interaction there.
Four lines, pasting from Leafpad.
