I've been using AIX for years and am fairly comfortable with UNIX and Linux. I want to create a cluster of FTP servers for a project that I'm currently working on and I'm wondering if clusterKnoppix would be a good choice for it? I know that clusterKnoppix and its Mosix code have issues with shared memory so would this cause a problem running something like WU-FTP or ProFTP? What about an FTP server that is completely java based like CrushFTP? I want to be able to have this cluste be completely redundant and load balancing without any single point of failure. Any thoughts would be appreciated.
