I have two pc`s connected by an ethernet router, and i want make a directory on one pc which is freely accessable to a pc on the router. Most of the things i looked up are about ssh and ftp and generating keys and so forth, which is more than i need to worry about. Is there a simple way to make a network shared directory which can be set to allow access to any address on the 192.168.0.xxx range, and to than simply use a web browser to access it on the other pc?

I actually got this working. Usually when i see stuff which involves more than two lines of console code i feel everthing begin to fall apart. Could i ask a modererator to sticky this topic and to add that if you are runnning from the cd you need to set a password
passwd knoppix
I only got a transfer speed of 2 MB/s - it may be my hardware. anyway it works
thanks for the help.
