Is it possible to use the knoppix cheatcodes after suing the 0wn installation? It does not give any options to do so during boot. If it is possible I would like to try another window manager, like twm.

There's an older thread called 'removing lxde' that may have some ideas for you.
If the following doesn't get you there, put 'cheatcodes' in the upper right search
