Extracting files from a DVR using knoppix. Possible?
Hi, I am hoping someone here has done this already. I want to copy the raw files off of my DVR. I do not want to capture them like I would a video camera. I have read this is possible using Knoppix and Knoppix will see the firewired DVR as a hard drive.
I connected up but saw nothing by way of another drive on the system. I know the firewire port on the DVR is enabled because windows finds it. But I was hoping to do this thru linux.
Has anyone successfully done this using Knoppix?
