Maybe it's an idea to check out the current version, 6.4.4? And search phrases like "persistent image" plus look into Knoppix cheat codes? (A cheatcode file is in the 6.4.4 distro.)
hi, i habe been using linux for 2 weeks from a cd liveversion 3.1.1.here are my first impressions :
it s a pretty good one but a few surprises:
there is no possibility to save ,every thing is saved in the RAM ,you switch off and you come back every thing is gone away .Not practical the files you have downloaded for instance are not kept, the adresses ...
and you cannot print yr doc ,nor install the drivers to set yr printer they fly away..
another problem :if you get out the plug of a mouse or the usb ,or switch on the printer the system is
frozen ,the keyboard doesn t respond anymore and several times the same troubles
i' m going to explore the remaining softs but not install the system on my hard disk
and CUPS is not installed.nice day to every one
